Firebreak: Enables built-in Panorama Mode in iOS 5 Camera App

iOS developer @conradev has managed to enable the hidden and built-in “Panorama” mode in iOS 5 firmware by setting ‘EnableFirebreak’ parameter to YES in com.apple.mobileslideshow.plist placeholder file. After the feature is activated, you can snap individual photos from left to right and the software will stitch it together automatically.

Siri Artificial Intelligence system ported on iPhone 3GS [VIDEO]

iOS developer Ryan Petrich has successfully ported Siri artificial-intelligence system on iPhone 3GS with the help from fellow hackers Steven Troughton-Smith and Grant Paul (aka chpwn). Since the iPhone 3GS’ microphone performance is not at par with the iPhone 4′s, the home button needs to be tapped to stop voice input if any significant ambient noise is detected by the sensors – a hardware issue. Sometimes it doesn’t accurately interpret the voice input.

Download iOS 5.0.1 Beta 2 to fix battery Drainage and Activations issues

Apple has released iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 (build 9A404) to developers which addresses battery drainage issues apart from offering handful of stability and security improvements over iOS 5. The company rolled out second beta version of the software to developers within two days, suggesting imminent public release of iOS 5.0.1.The first beta build apparently suffered from some bugs related to failed activations.
