As any new Apple product launch gets nearer, the frequency of leaks of supposed parts, and components increases. A new replacement part for iPad 3 Microphone Mic Flex Cable Ribbon has just been surfaced on a Chinese iPhone parts reseller website, TVC-Mall.
The new part, when compared with iPad 2, shows a different arrangement in internal circuitry, hinting a major re-design. The tail end of the part makes a “U-turn”, whereas the iPad 2′s Microphone Mic Flex Cable makes almost 90-degree turn both ways. Except for few details, the leaked part so far doesn’t offer a tantalizing tease.
The existence of a these parts does not necessarily means that it will make its way into the final iPad 3 model. Manufacturers are often asked to develop multiple versions of parts to test different possible designs and many of them don’t make it past the Apple’s research lab.
Nobody except Apple knows what could be the upgrades in iPad 3 but the market watchers claims that the third generation iPad tablet might get LTE support, a retina display – 2048×1536 resolution (the current iPad resolution is 1024×768), a faster processor, more RAM; and a dual-mode wireless chip to support both CDMA and GSM radios.
