Starting today, Apple has begun selling factory unlocked versions of its latest iPhone 5 through the company’s U.S. online store for which you pay more upfront without locking yourself in a particular carrier contract for the next two years. The unlocked iPhone 5 is available for $649, $749 and $849 for the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB model respectively, in both white and black color scheme. Orders are also currently limited to two handsets per customers.
The unlocked iPhone 5 includes all the features of iPhone but without a contract commitment. You can activate and use it on the supported GSM wireless network of your choice, such as AT&T in the United States. The unlocked iPhone 5 will not work with CDMA-based carriers such as Verizon Wireless or Sprint.

Frequent business travellers who are hopping between countries, or those who don’t want to be locked into a lengthy carrier contract can proceed and pre-order to buy the unlocked iPhone 5. The unlocked version of iPhone 5 will not work on either Sprint or Verizon’s network since both of them uses the CDMA network.
I have already pre-ordered and the confirmation email is showing a delivery date of between November 30 – December 7. What about yours?
