The iPhone 5S will enter a trial production stage in December this year, and could enter volume production in the first quarter of 2013, says the Commercial Times report. The Chinese publication added that Apple has accelerated the certification processes for the next version of the iPhone 5S parts and components after facing low yield rates in the iPhone 5 production. It seems that Apple has figured out a way to increase the yield rate.
The paper also noted that Apple will likely release a new version of iPad Mini a quarter later than the iPhone 5S, since the display resolution of its latest version of iPad (iPad mini) has come out lower than expected.
The iPhone 5S device could feature support for long rumored NFC (wireless payment system) so that the next generation phone can compete with the newer Android models which are sporting Near Field Communication chip. Other features are are unknown this time.
It is still uncertain when iPhone 5S will reach the public since the rumor doesn’t lines up well with the traditional summer Apple launches. But as rumors for the next generation device have started pouring-in, expect more to come in following weeks.
