Google Cancels Android Press Event Over Sandy Hurricane Threat

Google has cancelled their Android press event scheduled for Monday, October 29th after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency for the surrounding area for Hurricane Sandy, and Google’s event was set to take place on a waterfront pier. Android powered LG Nexus 4, a Samsung Nexus 10 tablet, 32GB 3G Nexus 7 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean were all set to be announced on Android press event. Google is yet to reschedule or supply further details about the event.

“We are canceling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy” Google told us in a statement. “We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more. Stay safe and dry.”
