Jailbreaking an iOS lets you customize your device by installing third party apps, themes, add custom notification sounds, ringtones, and lots more. One of them is installing animated custom boot logos.
After jailbreaking iPhone 4/3GS or iPod touch 4G on iOS 6.0, it is possible to replace the image of the boot logo (pineapple) during the procedure with the ‘Just Boot’ option available in Redsn0w 0.9.16b2. Yes, you can install custom boot logos on jailbroken iOS 6.0. But since the jailbreak is tethered, the hack is for fun use only.
Steps: Install Custom boot Logos on iPhone 4/3GS, iPod Touch 4G
Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 6.0 using Redsn0w 0.9.16b2. If your device is already jailbroken then move to next step.
Step 2: Create an animated BootLogo for your jailbroken device.
Image Size:
- iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G: 640 * 960px
- iPhone 3GS: 320 * 480px
- iPad: 1024 * 1024px
Step 3: Launch the Redsn0w tool.
Step 4: Go to the Extras menu – Even More – Preferences.

Step 5: Click the Boot Logo. An explorer window will open, just specify your .PNG image file you created in Step 2.
Step 6: Double click the “Back” button and then select the option “Just Boot”. It will reboot your device, showing your own designed custom logo.
Warning: Apple logo will be visible again as soon as your battery drains out or you try to reboot your iPhone. You have to re-jailbreak your device.
