RedSn0w 0.9.15b2 Download Fixes issues for iPhone 3GS and iPad Users

Redsn0w 0.9.15b2 tool is out for download for both Windows and Mac. iOS device owners can use the latest version redsn0w 0.9.15b2 to jailbreak iOS 6.0 tethered iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4th generation and un-tethered on old-bootrom iPhone 3GS. As pointed out in a blog post, iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.15b2 to fix issues pertaining with iPhone 3GS owners while jailbreaking the device using Redsn0w 0.9.15b1.

So, iPhone 3GS owners with old bootrom who are currently tethered jailbroken at iOS 6.0 (10A403) can just re-jailbreak with RedSn0w to gain your untethered back. All they have to do is to re-run redsn0w’s Jailbreak step (no need to restore). Other iOS device users should avoid downloading Redsn0w 0.9.15b2, if they have already jailbroken their devices using Redsn0w 0.9.15b1, lest they are not facing any issue.

Update #1 (Oct 15): Version 0.9.15b2 fixes a few issues for 3GS owners: old-bootrom awesomeness is no longer forgotten directly after a restore, and iPad baseband upgrade/downgrade support is fixed (same production date cutoffs apply!).  If your 3GS is currently tethered at 6.0 even though you have an old bootrom, just re-run redsn0w’s Jailbreak step (no need to restore).  Don’t forget you can add some pizzaz with your own boot logo or a nerdy verbose boot.

You can follow tested tutorial for jailbreaking iOS 6.0 using RedSn0w 0.9.15 and list for iOS 6 compatible apps. If you use ultrasn0w for unlocking, you need to wait to upgrade until ultrasn0w is compatible with iOS 6.0.     Its not working, Cann’t restore my iPhone 3GS with Redsn0w 0.9.15b2 , Error has not fixed yet and Now I m stuck in recovery mode, I cann’t push iOS 6 nor to my previous 5.1.1.
    I am totally lost, my iPhone become dead.
    Redsn0w is not reliable.

    I have a question, hope you guys can answer it.

    I have an att 3gs iphone at 5.1.1 bb 5.13 new bootrom unlocked by ultrasnow.

    If I purchase the permanent unlock (cutyoursim) and i update to iOS6 I know my iphone it will be unlocked, but if for some reason I don’t like it can I downgrade to 5.1.1 and keep my permanent unlock?

    I have saved shsh since 4.1 (Cydia and locally)

      if you are trying to jailbreak after a bad restore, that 2601 error is expected. You may need to restore stock then (if it will restore stock) and that will kill any unlock you may have. what antivirus if any? windows or mac? need a lot more info
