Looking to install Siri on iOS 6.0? Developers over SiriPort have just pushed an important update bringing the SiriPort to iOS 6.0 jailbreak compatible. They have just released SiriPort (Original) 6 which allows you to run Siri (the voice-activated personal assistant) on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G and iPod touch 3G running jailbroken iOS 6.0.

This is probably the best way to install Siri on 6.0 and all other un-official Siri ports have gone dead due to the fact that Apple does not host a decrypted copy of Siri for iOS 6.0 and Spire Tweak doesn’t offer support to the latest mobile operating system. SiriPort (Original) 6 doesn’t require proxy server or iPhone 4S in hand. You are not required to install Spire Cydia tweak. If it is already there on your iOS device, be sure to remove it.

Apart from compatibility, the developers have made several changes to their proxy server which now handles the request without having frequent connectivity problems.

Supported devices:

  • iPhone 4 (CDMA/GSM)
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPod Touch 4G

Note: Apple has extended Siri support to the iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation). So, iPad (3rd generation) users can directly install stock iOS 6 to get the official Siri assistant on their tablet.

SiriPort (Original) 6.0 Installation Instructions

The process for installing Siri on 6.0 is simple and straightforward.  If you want to try this method, see the step by step guide below.

Step 1: Jailbreak iOS 6.0 on your iPhone 4 (GSM or CDMA), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G or first generation iPad using Redsn0w on 6.0 which is tethered one. Refer our How to Jailbreak Section.

Step 2: Add the repository http://repo.siriport.ru

Step 3: Install a package SiriPort (Original) 6

Step 4: Reboot your iOS device

Step 5: Go to Settings SiriPort.Ru Original ( Settings – SiriPort.Ru Original )

Step 6: Click “ Install Certificate“. It Will Open certificate Page, just select” Install Certificate ” to install it.

Step 7: Reboot the device

Step 8: You can now long-press the Home button to launch Siri, and Say “Hi Siri”. If you find that Siri doesn’t understand anything at all, go to the Siri settings in the Settings app and change the language to English (US). If Siri doesn’t work, wait 20 minutes and try again.

Step 9: Repeat step 8 until Siri is activated. here’s is the Video showing Siri running on jailbroken iOS 6 firmware.

We have tested the port and it works great. Siri worked perfectly on iPhone 4, we recommend you to try again if the first attempt did not receive any response. Let us know in comments, if it works for you or not. Follow @JAlLBREAKS for troubleshooting and more on Siri port.

after installing this my iphone 4 is not opening…..It appears apple logo for a long time…how can I solve this problem? please help…

  • Richie

Nope. Siri would make my SpringBoard crash and then reboot into Safe Mode. Manually rebooting it will cause it to become totally bricked, so I must now restore my iPod, for the SECOND time. This is an iPod Touch 4th Generation. Very unhappy.

    please help me
I get the siri prompt on my iphone 3gs ios 6.0 but when I talk to Siri it immediately restarts and then says on top center exit to safe mode. I have to do a tethered reboot (redsn0w) to get out of it.

I too having the same problem. when I press the Home button for siri, it pops up with no mic and restarts the iphone to safe mode immediatly. tried changing the siri mic color uninstalled SBSetting and much more like Phive did.  Nothing happens.

iphone 4 CDMA followed all instructions. Long hold led to a respring into safe mode. Attempted again, same result. Rebooted, and now Cydia tweaks aren’t working, yet installed, and no siri still? Any help?

reboot twice if you didn’t see it.

Do we need to enable SIRI in settings –> General –> Siri? For iphone 4, this option resets to OFF always.

And also last time I tested SIRI, the weather did not work as the location service does not show SIRI options.

    Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. Did you find a solution?

after trying again and again, finally got it working but this port still has no location services for siri (means siri cant do anything location based)
looking forward to the next beta, as the devs are clearly still working on this one,

New Redsn0w 0.9.15b1 now automatically installs cydia during the jailbreak process,
suggest maybe try this approach and see if this makes cydia deb installations more stable :)

you need an utherethered jailbreak with evasi0n for it to work

  • Phive

I have a just installed it on my iphone 3GS and the mic icon is missing when I long-hold the home button. When I speak and press where the icon is suppose to be, it reboots to the apple where I have to tether boot my device. I have tried [Acid] Siri 6.0 and Spite 6.0. They are all doing the same thing. Has anyone ran into the same problem? I am running IOS 6.0 and RedSn0w.
