Following the iPhone 5 launch, Apple has posted the full blueprint of iPhone 5 on its website to assist case and accessory makers. The blueprints advise case manufacturers not to make metal-contact with iPhone 5 parts that are made from aluminum and not to obstruct the rear glass portions of the phone with metal as it could increase the interference with radio signals.
The document further advices case makers not to obstruct the acoustic openings: front mic, earpiece, and speaker and the imaging features such as front camera, rear camera, rear flash and the proximity sensor or ALS (ambient light sensor).
