iPhone repair shop iResQ has received photos for the next-generation iPhone dock connector and the headphone jack flex cable part for the rumoured iPad mini. The leaked parts are available in both black and white color indicating that Apple will be conforming the dock connector to the bodies of the devices.
The repair part of iPad mini fits well the one leaked earlier this week showing the headphone jack relocated to the bottom of the device. But per previous leaks, the headphone jack position is moved at the bottom only for the iPhone 5 and not for mini iPad. Various iPad Mini cases, design drawings, and physical mockups we have seen in past few weeks claims that the headphone jack will be located on the top edge of the iPad mini, as available on iPad.

In addition, the freshly leaked iPad mini part shows a different part number than seen on the previous part leak. The new photos are marked with the part number 821-1516, while the earlier photo carried a part number 821-1476. These iPad mini parts are among the first components of the device to appear, and since they are too large to fit inside an iPhone and small when compared with full size iPad, we can safely assume that Apple is indeed serious in launching iPad Mini.

A second photo offers a close look at the female part of the dock connector port. As evident in the image, the eight gold pins contacts are available which will make contact with the dock cable. According to the part supplier there is just one set of eight contacts inside of the port with none on the top side (see the image below).

The next-generation iPhone is believed to be in production and some time away from shipping. Analysts estimate the iPhone 5 will be on shelves in October with an announcement in second-half of September. Specifically, mainstream media outlets have positioned its announcement on September 12 with possible release on September 21.
