Images of motherboard/logicboard (both front and back) from a next-generation iPhone model have cropped up today. It looks like a prototype unit from the spy shots weiphone has received which fit nicely with the previous leaks we’ have witnessed so far. The most interesting part which is drawing attention is the screw holes of the logic board which lines up exactly with those of the previously leaked shell. The battery connector has a five pins, compared to four on the iPhone 4S and the connection points are also more closely connected.

For clarity, the French site Nowhereelse has created an animated GIF which shows how the screw-holes line up with the iPhone 5 leaked shells. The leaked logic board clearly shows a striking resemblance with the schematic photoback panel and hands-on video published few weeks back.

The logic board is considered to be the heart of iPhone which takes up less than 25 percent of the entire phone and is placed as a long strip on the right side of the device.

The next-generation iPhone is believed to be in production and some time away from shipping, however. Most reports have positioned its announcement on Sept. 12, and possible release on Sept. 21, alongside Apple’s new operating system, iOS 6.

The cracks in Apple armor will continue to leak with pictures of new iPhone 5 parts surfacing everyday. We can’t wait to get our hands on the next generation iPhone on iOS 6.0 powered by the A5X chip. What about you?
