Aicon Tweak Lights up Your Springboard Icons with Several Special Effects

Looking for a way to change icon effects on iOS device? Aicon is a new jailbreak tweak on Cydia store that lets you apply different effects and filters to the icons on the iOS springboard giving a different visual appearance to your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

As evident in the screenshots below, Aicon cydia tweak illuminates iOS icons with eleven different effects or settings applicable such as Sepia, Black and White, transparency, saturation, contrast, inversion, dynamics, darkness, X-rays, exposure and color. Different effects can be combined, so that you can transform your icons in Black and White, adding a sepia filter, increase transparency and brighten colors, and create many different combinations.

In order to install Aicon package, your iOS device must be running jailbroken iOS 5 and higher (Here’s how to Jailbreak iOS). After installation, Aicon provides you with direct access to settings from the home screen, to return to the original look or to refresh all the icons. The icons themselves are stored inside the /private/var/mobile/Applications but you need to open one, swap out the icon and reassemble it (if you want to). It’s not nearly as hard as it sounds.
