Want to watch live Olympic 2012 coverage just about any live TV broadcast on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch? NBC has launched a free Olympics app NBC Olympics Live Extra that will allow users stream every second of the London Games live from their iPhone, iPad devices – but as long as they have a cable or satellite subscription. The application will work equally well on some Android handset and tablet devices.
In order to set-up and watch Olympic 2012 event live, iOS users will have to go through an authentication process to show they get NBC’s MSNBC and CNBC channels. Users can then download and install NBC Olympics Live-Streaming App from iTunes store. A companion app, called NBC Olympics features additional content like athlete interviews and bios including real-time results & schedules, medal counts and TV & Online listings. Since both apps are interconnected, users can launch one through the other.

NBC had already announced that starting July 27 the Olympic 2012 Games will be live-streamed on NBCOlympics and that extra content will be available on Facebook. Both will live stream all 32 Olympic sports, every single competition and all 302 medal events.
