After porting Siri on iPhone 4/3GS and iPod touch, devs over SiriPort.ru have hacked Siri assistant to run on all models of iPad. SiriPort iPad’s (Original) 5.2-1 allows you to run Siri assistant on iPad, iPad 2 and iPad 3 running jailbroken iOS 5.1 or 5.1.1. The iPad 3 does not need a certificate key and if you follow everything as described below you will get a working Siri within 10 minutes on third generation Apple tablet. However, for iPad 2 and iPad 1G, you must catch the key; It takes a little time and depends on the number of connected iPhone 4S to the server.

The process for installing Siri is on Apple iPad simple and straight forward.  If you want to try this method, see the step by step guide below.

I’m very, very cautious about SiriPort..

The last time I installed it it **BRICKED MY iDEVICE**, so I advise you all proceed with caution as well and please report your success (as well as your failures) at installation.

If it truly does work, I’d love to give it a go.

Doesn’t work on my ipad 2 ios 5.1.1 either. The option to turn on siri is not there in general- settings. First I updated to 5.1.1 with a clean install. Jailbroke with Greenpoison Absinthe 2.0.4. Then I add the repo, next I installed SiriPort iPad’s (Original) ver. 5.2.1-1original. Then reboot. Turn on, open up General – Settings and Siri is not there!

FYI…when I first installed SiriPort it took overnight (about 12 hours) before Siri finally responded to my inquiries of “Hi Siri.” Be patient and keep trying. Once the server is up and running and stable, it works great!

  • Damn!!!

Followed all the steps exactly, but can’t get it to work on iPad 2. All it responds with is “I’m really sorry about this, but I can’t take any requests right now. Please try again in a little while.”

Doesn’t seem to be working on my iPad 3 when i switch it back to using SiriPort.  My dictation won’t work (it just times out) and Siri just keeps telling me something is wrong.
