Thinner iPhone 5 BackPlate Leaks: Smaller Dock Connector and Enhanced Speakers

Back plate part for the upcoming new iPhone (iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 or whatever you want to say) has been leaked by iPhone repair experts; courtesy – an anonymous Chinese parts supplier. The leaked iPhone part sits well with lots of rumors we have been hearing since past few months.

According to 9to5Mac, the part is almost 4-inch, packs a smaller dock connector at the bottom and appears to be thinner than available in its predecessor models. If you carefully examine the image, you’ll notice an extra space at the bottom. The report suggests that Apple has created extra space to enhance the speaker’s quality. The Chinese supplier confirms that the iPhone 5 back plate is one piece anchored by an aluminum alloy, debunking earlier rumors that it would be made up of liquidmetal alloy.

The Chinese supplier, who is in direct contact with iFixyouri told that Apple could introduce the new iPhone in two more color options. The part supplier confirmed to have seen at least two other colors of back plate.

Update 1: iPhone Repair shop uBreakiFix has received multiple photos of iPhone 5 parts in white which sits nicely with the back-plate posted above.
