Absinthe 2.0.2 Download Brings Support to Build 9B208 5.1.1 GSM iPhone 4

Absinthe LogoAs predicted, The Chronic Dev Team has released Absinthe 2.0.2 adding support to jailbreak 5.1.1 build 9B208, which was recently released by Apple for GSM iPhone 4. The team added a different payload for the fourth generation device on the latest build to work correctly with Absinthe 5.1.1 jailbreak. Build 9B206 on iPhone 4 was already supported by one-click jailbreak Absinthe 2.0.1. The tutorial guides to jailbreak 5.1.1 iPhone 4 build 9B208 would remain exactly the same.

The current Absinthe 2.0.2 is the most stable release to date and addresses most of the bugs that arrived with its first release – Absinthe 2.0. Apart from adding support to build 9B208  on iOS 5.1.1, the change log doesn’t address any other bug. Download the latest version of Absinthe from our downloads page.

    Does SAM Backup Ticket still works after updating and jailbreaking to 5.1.1? Does anyone tried this with their phone unlocked by SAM? still havent found any answer. Tnx

    mine’s keep on shutting down.. didn’t had any problem with 2.0.1. but with 2.0.2 i can’t jb at all..

    hi, ipad2 64gb 3g here. tried the jb by absinthe 2.0.2 as per instructions but still no jb. kept on having the msg “hmm something seems gone wrong…..”. tried a restore by itunes to 5.1.1 so many times and applied the jb but still failed. tried to jb using another pc but also failed.. any help is much appreciated.. more power to the jb team!!

    Why do the extracted files in 2.0.2 show 9B206? Everytime I try to jailbreak, I get the device not supported message?

    iPad 2,1 jailbreak runs smoothly until the very end, it hangs when trying to finish then says “hmm something seems to have gone wrong” then restores back to default. No jb.

      Just tried it again to give you more info and it worked! maybe I launched 2.0.0 by accident before. Anyway thanks! Hackers will be seeing a donation their way from me.
