Users have reported that all un-official Siri ports are broken after jailbreaking the device with Absinthe 2.0 or 2.0.1; and even worse is that the Spire tweak doesn’t work on jailbroken 5.1/5.1.1 firmware anymore. Spire tweak developer Grant Paul (aka chpwn) clarifies that it’s impossible to update Spire to support iOS 5.1+ because Apple does not host a decrypted copy of Siri for iOS 5.1. But this is not the case for the ports which doesn’t require installing Spire tweak.

First legit Siri port, provided by Russian developers has just released SiriPort (Original) for iOS 5.1.1 that brings Siri on all iOS devices jailbroken with Absinthe. You can now port digital voice assistant on your jailbroken iPhone 4 (GSM, CDMA), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G and iPad without having iPhone 4S in hand and without buying any Siri proxy server.

SiriPort for 5.1.1

We have tested the port and it works great, on our first attempt we had an answer and Siri worked perfectly on our iPhone 4, so we recommend you to give a try. After the guide is online, the server will definitely be overloaded and you may incur some connectivity issues. Doesn’t work on iPad 2, iPad 3 (The New iPad), iPod touch 3G

Below is the step by step guide on how to install Siri on your non-iPhone 4S device.

Step 1: Jailbreak your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1G or iPod touch 4G on 5.1.1 using Absinthe 2.0.1 or Sn0wbreeze 2.9.4.

Step 2: Launch Cydia and add the Source repo.siriport.ru to Cydia

Step 3: Install “Siriport”

Step 4: Reboot

Step 5: Download iPhone 4S certificate file by visiting siriport.ru/1.crt. Email the certificate file to yourself and then open it on your device from your email.

Step 6: Reboot

Step 7: Activate Siri and say “Hi Siri” Siri won’t work, wait 1-4 minutes and try again. (Say “Hi Siri” again)

Step 8: Repeat step 6 until Siri is activated

Let us know in comments, if it works for you or not. Follow @JAlLBREAKS for more on Siri port.

[UPDATE 1]: The method listed above may not work. The developers have re-written the Siri server and certificate files have been changed. Please follow the Guide to install Siri with SiriPort (Original) 5.1.1-3 on iPhone, iPod Touch.

the request time out error while adding address to cydia…please anybody can help???

  • J@mR0(k

In Step 5 you can visit the page on your device and install the certificate directly. I rebooted twice and it works. Too bad business search is not available here in Jamaica.

  • PWN3D

Worked well, but it took 6 hours for siri to activate after several reboots. Used SiriPort Original. IPhone 4 GSM, 5.1.1 (9B206), jailbroken with Absinthe2.0.1. Siri is working great

  • Jamal

Does anybody know if it works with the Rocky Racoon tethered-to-untethered jailbreak?

  • stewie

Same issue. tried it twice already. same issue.

    • stewie

oh, Meant to post lower. Have issue when it reboots it just stays on the apple logo. Have to restore on iTunes. iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 any ideas? it is jailbroken using absinthe 2.0.2

  • Ahmed

how do i email certificate ?

  • ridham

while installing siriport…. it asked to reboot….. and there after its just rebooting….. not able to start my ipad2…….

  • bugdoug

You need to be sure you install the SiriPort (original) 5.1.1 off of Cydia or else your phone wont get past the apple logo. The first time I tried Siri it worked in 5 minutes. This time it took overnight and worked in the morning.

  • Hack3r

Once the install is completed, cydia will say “Reboot Now…or whatever” DO NOT CLICK IT! , open latest Redsn0w, and boot tethered, follow instructions to get into DFU mode while cydia is on that screen saying “Reboot Now”… once your phone has been booted…there you go :D

  • http://twitter.com/MashiAnkrekku Mashi An’krekku

Heads up! You’re supposed to install “Siriport (Original)”, not “Siriport”. I don’t know what the hell is up with the second one but I confirmed with another article on the matter (with almost the exact same instructions copy-pasted, save for the difference in what package is actually installed) and my own testing. You need “SiriPort (Original)”!

    • Ahmed

where do i find siriport ‘original’ ?

      • Ahmed

ok i found it. but it gives this error

        http/1.1 503 service temporarily unavailable

        • http://twitter.com/MashiAnkrekku Mashi An’krekku

Keep trying until it goes through. Servers probably being hammered. Once it’s finally downloaded, follow the rest of the instructions outlined above.

My Siri finally started working after about…12 hours.

Unfortunately, my iphone 3gs ios 5.1.1(9B206) freezes at the apple boot logo after installing siri as per instructions above.. :( I’ve tried twice, but have had to restore both times..

  • Basel awwad

My iPhone 4 GSM after install he ask me to reboot I reboot the iPhone and stuck on the Apple icon ,,,, what can I do ???? Plzzzzzzzz help

  • Michael Boldizar

Again, advising you all NOT to go through with loading SiriPort onto ANY iDevice as there is a VERY HIGH CHANCE it will ENTIRELY BRICK YOUR iDEVICE.

It’s hit or miss at this point.

I had to restore my iPod Touch 4G and rejailbreak it last night. Major pain in the ass.

    Not worth the risk.

  • http://twitter.com/JRodd305 Rodney Delva

It works perfectly on my Iphone 4 CDMA from verizon.

  • phen

this is bshit now i cannot restore my ipad2 and stuck with the apple logo, shift+click and choose ipsw doesnt work, it gives me unknown error 21.

    • waffel

youtube account name 1stBONER and watch my itunes error 21 fix video

  • Qwazymoto

I just tried to run the USER GUIDE posted above and it DOES NOT WORK. As other users have indicated the phone Boot Loops and stays on the Apple Logo. The phone itself allows you to access Itunes and sync it. But the Boot Loop ogo with the black screen does not go away. I have tried the Process Guide 4 times and the same result each time. AND BE WARNED – apple pushed a silent update signed the same as the orginal 5.1.1 ( 9b906 ) but tweaked it so its not able to be jailbroken again. the new version is (9b908 ) but its still signed as 5.1.1 ( FOR GSM ONLY ATM )
you can download the old .ISPW file from redmondpie.
    then DFTU MODE you iphone
plug into Itunes and press shift + restore button
navigate to the old ISPW file and restore and rejailbreak.
its a pain but the jailbreak remains. I hope siriport can figure out the loop issue soon. I really want Siri on my Iphone 4 ( GSM )
    Good Luck everyone!

    • gyu

no! just boot tetherd from Redsn0w!

  • KC

Worked after a clean restore and fresh jailbreak ! Had to turn Siri on and off to get her to respond. Good Luck !

  • Jeff

This worked for me running untethered jailbreak ios 5.1.1 ipod touch 4g.i just needed to reboot once.

  • Zeke

According to http://siriport.ru/2012/05/siriport-original-for-ios-5-1-1/ (after being translated), it says on Monday they will add iPod Touch 4, and iPad 2 and 3 support. I Tweeted this too lol

    • H3cker

The old siri port 5.1 has worked on 5.1.1. for me even when it was tethered. I re-added yesterday after new Absinthe came out and worked within 2 hours…VERY HAPPY :)

    • J

Did you install over siriport 5.1? (over write?). Mine siriport 5.1 on JB5.1.1 is working fine.
