Developer Ori Kadosh has just released ‘LockScreen Multitasking’, a little jailbreak tweak that allows you to multitask directly from your lock screen running iOS 5 firmware. All of you who have upgraded to iOS 5 and jailbroken with either redsn0w or Sn0wbreeze can now install ‘LockScreen Multitasking’ tweak via Cydia.
The tweak doesn’t bypass your special passcode, which means that no one can open an app from the lock screen, without entering a correct password. To activate the app switcher, just double press the home button, you will immediately be offered the classic dock for quick selection of the background applications. To get back to the lock screen, just tap the lock screen and it will return to its original position.
All you have to do to get this working is install LockScreen Multitasking from Cydia (via ModMyi repo), restart Springboard. No new icons will be added to the springboard and there is no need to configure settings.
In fact, SwitcherPlus tweak does the same, but is not compatible with the latest iOS 5 and its developer is still working out on its compatibility.
