iPhone Dev Team has released Redsn0w Version 0.9.11b2 adding support for the build 9A406 of iOS 5.0.1 for the iPhone 4S device. Many users complained that while downgrading iPhone 4S to 5.0.1, redsn0w doesn’t restore their device to build 9A406. A day back, the team inadvertently missed out adding support for build 9A406 in Redsn0w 0.9.11b1 disallowing many iPhone 4S users to downgrade their device to iOS 5.0.1
Affected iPhone 4S users who were getting stuck while downgrading their device using Redsn0w must download the updated version of Redsn0w 0.9.11b2. The steps for downgrading iPhone 4S firmware will remain same (for Windows and Mac OS X). You can follow steps to downgrade iPhone 4S from iOS 5.1.1/5.1 to iOS 5.0.1 build 9A406.
After downgrading iPhone 4S, you may use either Absinthe or Redsn0w to jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 untethered. Here are the list of guide you should follow jailbreaking your device.
