Hacker Cyril (aka pod2g) who is already hard at work for A5X 5.1 jailbreak release, has discovered two new vulnerabilities (1 kernel land and 1 root land) within the rigs of iOS 5.1 this weekend. Details are thin right now since pod2g wants to keep it secret to avoid possible leak. Plausibly, pod2g will test these vulnerabilities in the upcoming iOS 6.0 scheduled to be showcased in June 2012, in WWDC Event.
Be sure you hold off on upgrading to any upcoming iOS update until pod2g divulge more details on his upcoming jailbreak. Apple could release iOS 5.2 or an incremental iOS 5.1.1 software update within a week or two.
News: a productive week-end. Found 2 big vulnerabilities. 1 kernel land and 1 root land.

Pod2g hasn’t shared any ETA for 5. untethered jailbreak. Continue to be patient, supportive, and be extremely excited that it is on the way! Perhaps, the best way to know about it is to follow Jailbreaks on Twitter.
