Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 Download Available for iPhone 4S, iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak

Users who have been patiently (or impatiently) waiting for full control of their iPhone 4S or iPad 2′s need wait no longer. iPhone Dev Team has just released Redsn0w 0.9.10b7  which allows you to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2 on 5.0.1 IPSW firmware. It’s still got the beta tag attached to it, so we’d recommend that you read the list of fixes and caveats carefully before you make up your mind to jailbreak your A5 device.

Since the jailbreak is untethered, you can simply reboot without any need to connect to computer to re-jailbreak, in case your battery drains out or you accidentally reboots it. It can also re-install that jailbreak for those who accidentally uninstalled the untether. Musclenerd has added lots of feature to the jailbreak tool.

As things stand, the jailbreak is limited to A5-powered devices, with the Apple iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. For other devices, you can download redsn0w 0.9.10b6 to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G including first generation iPad on 5.0.1.

People looking to jailbreak their A5 device on iOS 5.0.1 are advised to make back-ups of their data before jailbreaking iPhone 4S using redsn0w and should keep it in mind that once it is jailbroken, its warranty becomes void.
