Apple’s native multitasking bar – an App Switcher, which can be invoked by pressing the home button twice doesn’t offer you with too many options. A brand-new jailbreak tweak called Imperium is up for grabs on Cydia store which essentially reinvents Multitasking and takes it completely to a new level. Inspired by Mac OS X’s Mission Control and LaunchPad, Imperium Cydia Tweak brings number of system options right on your App Switcher tray and allows jailbreakers to perform a number of actions with ease. Imperium can be activated from anywhere using an Activator action.
There are countless actions users can perform with Imperium cydia tweak, and the fact that it appears to integrate itself seamlessly within the iOS makes it a package of particular importance. With Imperium, users can set predefined app shortcuts, kill background apps, set toggle functions such as airplane mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, location services and even a switch for a flashlight. Access the shortcuts like composing an email or tweet, powering off, snap a photograph and launching apps from a scrolling list of all of your installed apps. The two sliders available conveniently allow you to increase or decrease device brightness and adjust volume.
In the Imperium preferences pane in the Settings window, the tweak allows you to pin four applications to the dock. Activator action method can be configured against these application shortcuts. Moving further down, you will notice options to customize background, blur radius and animation speed. There is also a switch available at the very bottom which will close the Imperium tweak. Well, you can alternatively press the home button to exit Imperium.
If this is the kind of tweak you’re interested in trying out, head over to the Cydia store and search for “Imperium” under BigBoss repo. The jailbreak tweak can be downloaded for $0.99 (required minimum iOS 5). Take a look at the package, and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
