Finally, Apple on Monday officially announced an event to unveil next generation iPad, reports The Loop, who received an invitation saying that the event will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, as expected.
On specification side, iPad 3 will likely have similar form factor as its predecessor iPad 2, but running a much faster chip, improved graphics, larger battery, and a possible 4G LTE compatibility. Using the 4G compatible mobile chip would make the iPad 3 the first 4G device Apple has produced. Besides a faster processor and speedier cellular networking the third generation iPad is expected to feature a higher-resolution 2048×1536 Retina Displayand much improved cameras.
