We have got number of paid Siri Proxy servers and the only free service so far is from SiriPort.ru. If for some unknown reason, SiriPort is not working, you can install Siri voice assistant on your iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3GS using a new free Siri Proxy server – GreenRiver SiriServer. This method is something completely different.
GreenRiver’s Siri server runs on GoogleSpeechAPI which takes the speech packets and converts it to speex codec and sends it to google for processing. After processing google sends what you said in plain text, the server relays the information back to Siri on your jailbroken iDevice. No hassle of being connected to Apple servers.
That said, if you do decide to go ahead with this method, know that this is a beta version and there could be some connectivity issues. With that said, head on to read up on the process.
Step 1: To connect to their Siri server your iOS device must be running on jailbroken iOS 5 and above. If you haven’t, then you can use Redsn0w to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and iPod touch 4G. Follow the next steps below:
Step 2: Launch Cydia from your Home Screen and install spire tweak, Open Cydia and search for Spire under BigBoss repo and install it. The tweak, developed by @chpwn and @rpetrich helps in installing a complete and stable interface of SIRI on jailbroken device. The process will take some time since it will be downloading a 100MB package from Apple servers.
Step 3: Reboot your iOS device.
Step 4: Now that you have Spire tweak installed, open your safari browser on your iDevice and go to: http://siri.grwh.net/newca.pem (This is a new cert if you already installed the old one, please remove it and install this one). This will open the iOS Profile installer, install the certificate.
Step 5: After your Certificate is installed navigate to: Settings -> General -> Siri and tap the on switch, this will activate the Siri.
Step 6: Enter the following server address into Spire, navigate to: Settings -> Spire. The server address is: https://siri.grwh.net:1221
Step 7: Hold down your home button and Say “Hello Siri” if she says hello back you are connected. You can say “help” for a list of available commands. Here is the list of current commands GRWH siriServer can take. Full list can be located here.

The guys behind this service are not charging us a dime. It is hard to think that so many people would put so many hours of effort, and then just give it away for free. For those interested, however, there is a way to contribute to these guys via PayPal for donations – which will go to paying for the server cost so that they can continue to serve you with Siri on non-iPhone 4S devices. All donations will be listed on a special page and when they launch as a paid service on full release you will receive 1 month free per $10 donated.
Just to re-iterate, the service supports only on iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 3GS with spire installed. Don’t try on iPad 2, iPad 1G, iPod 3G. Let us know, if it works for you. Follow @JAlLBREAKS for free support.
[UPDATE 1]: To server you better, GreenRiver team has added 1 more server. You now have two core servers running. Let us know, if the connectivity issues still persists.
