AssistantConnect Tweak Combo: Install Siri on iPhone 4, iPod touch without Proxy

You can now install Siri on your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2 and first generation iPad without using third party proxy server address. This can be made possible by using a combo applications which has just been released in Cydia store – AssistantConnect4S (email Siri auth to non-iPhone 4S devices) and AssistantConnect (use Siri auth from AssistantConnect4S device).

In order to install Siri you must first install AssistantConnect4S cydia tweak that allows iPhone 4S owners to email their authenticated certificate file via email. It actually download all the required data from your iPhone 4S for Siri to work on old generation iOS devices. Developer has warned users to be careful and not to send cert file to more than 5 people in order to avoid penalty or complete ban. This jailbreak app only works in conjunction with Spire jailbreak tweak developed by chpwn and AssistantConnect app.

The next step is to install the Spire tweak on your iOS 5.0.1 (or iOS 5.0) jailbroken iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod touch 4G, if you haven’t already. Then install AssistantConnect cydia app on your iOS device on which you wish to install Siri without proxy. Both AssistantConnect4S and AssistantConnect cydia tweaks are available for free download under bigboss repo.

Alternatively, if you are unable to find them in Cydia list or bigboss repo, you can download AssistantConnect4S .deb file and AssistantConnect .deb file and install it on respective devices via iFile or OpenSSH.

If you don’t have iPhone 4S, you can request your friend for it. Else you can try other alternative to install Siri on non-iPhone 4S device. A possible and safe alternative is to use Sara tweak. You can however use this method to get native Siri assistant on iPhone 4. After Getting Siri on your iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4G, you may install any of the 10 Siri jailbreak Apps that will supercharge your Siri experience.

    sara tweak from cydia is just as good and will get better plus if you install the activator tweak from cydia you can set it so holding down the home button enables sara

    I’ve been fighting with this too and FINALLY got it to work!

    All of the steps above PLUS this. And yes it is guzzoni not “guzzomi”

    Open iFile and navigate to /etc/. Tap hosts and choose Text Viewer. Tap Edit in the upper-left hand corner, and add the following line:

    127.0.0.1 guzzoni.apple.com

       Manage to get my siri working all i needed to do was off spire hooks and spire injector in Sb settings under mobile substrate addons..

    Now it’s not crashing but it’s saying that it can’t take any requests right now and to please try again in a little while.

    Mine installed fine on my iPad 2 but every time I ask Siri a question the unit crashes and goes in to safe mode.

    Anyone having the same issues???

      To install Spire iPad 1 or 2, go edit the file with iFile K48AP.plist and make false key “iPad” and then reboot.

    I can’t get it to work on iPad 2, keeps saying spire not configured open settings to configure proxy server. Have followed the instructions completely and tried several different times and will still not work. Maybe it will only work on something more compatible like an iPhone 4.

      ouch, just read the file expires every 24 hours. Not such a viable option for me anymore.

    after installing the siri data from email. reboot phone and “spire not configured” will be gone. the only problem i have is, i get the please try again later reply thing everytime

    After removing all previous certs and the previously entered proxy in spire i installed the auth from my 4s on my gf´s iphone 4. But when activating Siri she keeps telling me that she can´t take requests right now.

    I even tried to enter https://guzzoni.apple.com in spire, but that way Siri doesn´t even answer.

    Is there something missing in the howto? Respring and Reboot also didn´t help.

    Installing it on my 4S killed all audio. I’m not able to make or receive phone calls… not even in Safe Mode.

    After installing the cert file, restart the iPhone 4 and it works great. Can’t believe it.

      If you get a message spire not configurated. You need to go into SB settings. And under the More button then to the MobileSubstrate addons. And turn off SpireHooks and SpireInjector. It will work then.

        what if you don’t have sbsettings, should you install and then turn off those two things?
