iPhone Dev Team has pushed a minor update to its redsn0w jailbreak tool upgrading it to version redsn0w 0.9.10b5c for both Windows and Mac platforms. According to change log redsn0w 0.9.10b5c fixes custom ramdisk issues on iPhone 3G and iPod 2G and prevents redsn0w from crashing due to the ever-growing ramdisk size.

Many users have complained that while jailbreaking iPhone with redsn0w, the iOS device gets stuck at same place and ‘Uploading ramdisk freezes’. Redsn0w jailbreak even crashes when iPhone screen displays ‘Downloading Jailbreak Data’.

In case you’re getting stuck at the Redsn0w uploading RamDisk stage, you must download the updated and correct version of Redsn0w 0.9.10b5c before you start jailbreaking your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad.
