How to Install SIRI on iPhone 4 & iPod touch 4G without Proxy – VIDEO GUIDE

Yes! You can now port Siri voice assistant on your jailbroken iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4G without having iPhone 4S in hand and without buying any Siri proxy server. JBN has posted step by step video guide on how to install Siri on your non-iPhone 4S device.

Note: Since the server is overloaded, you may incur some connectivity issues, however.

Disclaimer: We haven’t test this on our device yet and we should not be held responsible if something goes wrong. However, we have received reports that it does work. Do at your own risk

Here is how to install Siri on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G [VIDEO]

Step 1: Jailbreak your iPhone 4 or iPod touch 4G using Redsn0w on 5.0.1

Step 2: Launch Cydia and add the Source repo.siriport.ru to Cydia

Step 3: Install “Siriport”

Step 4: Reboot

Step 5: Download iPhone 4S certificate file by visiting siriport.ru/1.crt (or cydiablog.com/siri/. Email the certificate file to yourself and then open it on your device from your email.

Step 6: Reboot

Step 7: Activate Siri and say “Hi Siri” Siri won’t work, wait 1-4 minutes and try again. (Say “Hi Siri” again)

Step 8: Repeat step 6 until Siri is activated

After Getting Siri on your non-iPhone 4S device you may install any of the 10 Siri jailbreak Apps that will supercharge your Siri experience. In case you are looking to configure you own proxy server, here is the guide which will take you through all the steps required to port Siri assistant on iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

    3.Download and install Siriconnex from cydia

    4.go into ifile /var/mobile/library/preferences/com.apple.assistant.plist
    then hit the blue arrow, scrolled down to permissions and changed Group & World to the same thing User had which was read, write.
    then reboot
    settings, siri, enable

    5.open siri and say ”hi siri” every second until it says hi back. Do not bother waiting 1-4 minutes.

    This worked for my IPhone 4 and i hope it works for you :)

    Tip to everyone that it isn’t working for them, it isn’t about restarting the device.
    It is simply about the server being overloaded with people trying to activate it.What you have to do is simply retry every second, no need to wait.I promise every single one of you that it will work, guarantee, just keep trying.I kept saying “Hi siri” every second and got the same response for about 50 times and it worked after that.So, big deal, I wasted 10 minutes, but it works now.Cheers.

    I have the error where it says “I’m really sorry about this, but I can’t take any requests right now.  Please try again in a little while.”  It has been doing this all day, and I have tried saying hi siri at least 300 times.  I have reinstalled it 4 times and even used ifile to delete the assistant and support but no matter what I do this will not work. I am using an iphone 4 5.0.1, if anyone at all knows my issue please let me know.

      you have to just wait. It can take up to 30 minutes to install based on your internet connection.

    I really though this was fake, but decided to try it. I followed the directions with my iPhone 4. After saying “hi siri” about 7 or 8 times she said “hello” back. It works, but Siri is a bit slower. Also sometimes it stops, but most of the time it has been great.

      You just had to delete the plist, re-install cert and go through the whole activation process again.  its a real pain but at least it works.

    I was one of the people ready to give up, I tried saying “hi siri” about 200+ times since last night, this morning at about 9 am, after about 20 or 30 tries, it finally responded with “good morning” and its been working perfectly since, I was going to uninstall today but I guess all I can say is keep trying, as stupid as it seem, it did work and is working :)

        just keep pressing the mic again and again, it seems better late at night or early in the morning when there is not that many people using the server, no need to restart the phone, just keep pressing the mic, dont give up

        ok i disabled my3g, still my apps crash. i enabled it again and deleted it and still all my apps crash! not counting the apps that can with my phone. like chase, facebook, twitter, etc

        i did this except my issue was sms+ that i had to disable – once i disabled it my safari and mail apps etc all worked again, so i re-enabled it and then removed the package sms+ in cydia now siri and apps work on iPhone 4 ios

    The install went fine, got the cert installed fine.  Every time I say “Hi Siri” she say’s sorry, she can’t help me right now.  After she says this I’m supposed to keep bugging her by saying “Hi Siri” for a while?     Worked flawlessly on my 3GS.All the installations went smooth but the tricky part was when trying to activate Siri.Had to say ‘Hi Siri’ for 20 minutes straight and suddenly it worked. my advice would be that if ur installation went smooth then please have some PATIENCE when trying to activate Siri and I promise it will work.

    maybe, it’s better for us to wait for a fix on this issue. just have patience. maybe someday they will release a permanent fix or permanent program on this siri for Iphone 4 or other device. For now I will just Disable mine.  don’t have any luck..keeps on receiving i am sorry respond

    I agree with Blackresque. I tried uninstalling it after it didn’t work after multiple attempts. My phone kept going into the safe mode. I ultimately had to restore it and jailbreak it again. To be avoided completely!

    I do not recommend this, because it’s very difficult to uninstall and remove from cydia.(I had to restore my iPhone) and most of the time, the server would be down, and even if it works today,there’s isn’t any permanent assurance that’ll work forever. Good Luck.

    I installed this tweek on my iPad 2 but after about 10-20 mins it won’t let me connect also it says there’s over 3,000 people on the server, could that have something to do with it?

    If siri wont activate when theres only 200 ppl on the server, then what chance have i got of it replying and activitating when theres over 1000. Im so over this crap, been trying every hour for 20 minutes since monday and it aint working, this is just complete BullSh!t. FIX the problem will ya.     this is like the 100th time ive rebooted my phone and attempted to connect to siri, and it just wont connect she always says “sorry try again later” Ive said “hi siri” ive said “weather” ive said “Hi” ive said “Alarm” still nothing. Ive re-installed siriport and the certificate, nothing. Been at it since Monday continuesly trying to connect.     This is BS. I been trying since monday, And as soon as the server got back up, there was only 200 ppl on  it for like that minute so i tried continuesly to connect and it still wont connect me.
    Now theres 1800 ppl online. what chance have i got in trying to get the damn thing activated instead of hearing “Im sorry Im not able to help you right now please try again later” GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

    Does anyone really believe that Siri will work on un authorized devices ? I mean all traffice needs to be routed through apple servers that’s a pretty complex hack to acomplish. I think this is a hoax to either get people to pay for a spire proxy or other Certs for proxy servers

    if 1 person could post a video from beggining to end with no cuts on this ACTUALLY working i’d luv to see it. as far as the the server page showing how many people are using Siri that could easily be a random number generator

      I tried this all day. I would delete the plist file, reboot, and nothing would happen. I was able to get the siri “error” he was talking about, but not sequentially. Finally as I was driving home from work, I asked it what the weather was and she told me.

      Either way, the servers are down right now as there is no access to even their forums on their website.

      It works fine as long as the server is up it works. I have it working on my iPhone 4, just by following the steps, and having patience. The only problem I experienced was their server being slammed. Other than that it works fine.

    I was abke to get mine to work yesterday after hoursof trying. Finally i figured ill say something other than hi siri since maybe too many requests or that question. I said weather and boom, it worked. I was on a forum like this so they wanted video proof and i made one. Many people tried my method and it works. Just say something unique like alarm or restaurant or weather…etc

        that one happened to me before I got stuck on apple logo. If the instructions provided to you by migue doesn’t work, you might need to restore ur phone and just have it jailbreak again after resetting resetting to normal mode

        There isn’t a real way to speed up a server. specially if you already have the highest quality of internet speed and with a high quality PC. 

        Unless your somehow working with Apple and have a better idea… just saying.

    http://www.cydiablog.com/siri/
    to do this, use Safari on your iDevice

    Third, install siriport and RESTART!

    Fourth is to wait. It can take awhile.

      1.Add the source
      2.download ifile
      3.go to var/mobile/library/prefrences
      4.delete com.apple.assestend.plst
      5.install the crt
      6.turn on siri!!
